Peter is our Principal Consultant has over 25 years experience in the I.T. industry within both commercial and academic environments. He has co-authored multiple redbooks; the industry reference material for IBM software technologies. He is an experienced practitioner of design, development, coding, testing and deployment of quality system solutions. He is currently working as a consultant using WebSphere/J2EE technologies. His interests lie in WebSphere Administration, Configuration, Security, Scalability, Performance, and DataPower technologies. Alongside his technical ability, Peter has strong skills in Project Management, problem solving, troubleshooting, process refinement and can provide expert advice for systems improvement.
In recent years, his main focus has been on System Management and Availability including detailed knowledge of suitable tools such as Tivoli. Peter is keen to maintain his technical skills and is currently working with WebSphere/J2EE and maintains interests in e-business on demand, emerging technologies, Linux (as well as UNIX in general) and database technologies such as ORACLE, DB2.
He has strong interpersonal skills, which give an ideal base to enable colleagues to achieve their goal in the overall project. He is adept at leading and influencing other team members.
Peter has a good understanding of the Strategic Outsourcing business, gained during his time working for IBM, up to and including handover of the solutions to BAU. He also has practical knowledge of end-to-end Data Centre Service Delivery.
